+ Owner’s Story
When we saw this property the first time, we did not know that the beaches of Ostional had some of the best surf in the country, and maybe in the world. We did not know about the sea turtle nesting ground, just in front of the property, and that we would be able to watch the huge “arribadas” (arrival of the nesting turtles) right from our patio. We also did not know that there was a fast growing community not far away, Nosara.
What we did know was that we found our Adam and Eve paradise, with all its privacy and beauty. All we saw was that beautiful piece of land, with indescribable ocean views, sunsets out of a story book and all the privacy. That is what we were looking for, a life within our own little paradise, which we found within these 75 acres of land.
We built our home in a style so it would fit into its surroundings, a Spanish/Italian type villa, with ocean views from every room in the house. We had the house built solidly, concrete, cinderblock and steel on top of solid rock ( Ostional rock formation). This structure survived the 2012, magnitude 7.6 earth quake without a crack!
We've lived here now for almost 15 years, and had the most wonderful times of our lives. We still enjoy the sunsets every day and listening to the ocean, and yes it is still our little private paradise!
Personal reasons though require from us to spend more time in the US and Europe and it would be difficult to leave a place like this unattended and empty for longer periods of time.
